Over the last year, I have talked about how to clean a closet, what to keep and what to give away and how to reorganize the existing clothes. I came upon a Readers Digest.com article that had some interesting points. Organize with “A five pile method”. Start a spring cleanup (any area of your house) by making one pile for items to be moved elsewhere, one for donations, one for giveaways to people you know, one for throwaways, and one for “marinating”. That last pile should be packed in a box labeled with a date six to twelve months hence. If you don’t open it by then, toss or donate the contents. This plan will help you get things in order and will help you avoid the angst that closet cleaning often brings.
