How much fun it was to be in Berlin this month and to be able to check out the style trends. Overall, the Berliners are pretty casual with an eye toward comfort and functionality. What impressed me most was the abundance of hip, stylish tennis shoes, animal prints, very cool jackets and the color honeysuckle represented in everything from shoes to eyeglasses. Other prominent trends: matching denim outfits, frayed hems, pants worn with belts and the shirt tucked in and high waisted tight jeans.

I was over the moon that NPR is stocked this spring with the international trends (except the tennis shoes).
