Zoom meetings require that you select your clothing from the waist up carefully. You want to be able to communicate your message and not detract from it with clothing that doesn’t flatter or fit you. My friend in Rochester had an important meeting and reached out to me for some help.

Good. The colors are good, but the pale peach blouse pulls at the neck and is a little too light. This outfit looks somewhat unfinished.

Better. The black blouse has more impact, but the cut of the neckline is not kind to her neck.

Best. The open collar on the shirt and her necklace flatter and enhance her features. Using her eye color for her blouse strengthens her ability to communicate because her face becomes the focal point, not the outfit.

It is a good idea to take a selfie before you start a zoom call. You will be able to evaluate the color and fit of your top/jacket.
