One thing that I have noticed over the years is that many women feel invisible as they grow older. There is a prevailing sense of not counting or being seen. Aegism is a fact of life, but its existence doesn't have to define or limit your possibilities.
My belief is that your knowledge, wisdom and wealth of experience is invaluable and that you are not invisible. The challenge is that you need to refuse to be unseen.
Where to start? Sassy attitudes, straight posture, big smiles and attention to your personal style go a long way to making your presence known. You also have to choose not to be crabby. Lord knows that can be a challenge, but there is nothing worse than a crabby old woman (unless it is a crabby old man).
